FAMILY SERVICES OVERVIEW

Highfields offers many services in various local communities.  Community-based counseling services to children, youth and families can be accessed directly by contacting us, others must be accessed through a County Court, the Department of Human Services (DHS) or a Mental Health Authority.  Many programs are limited to residents in specific counties.

A common thread unites the community-based counseling services.  Highfields recognizes that when people receive services at their earliest point of need, they are able to resolve challenges more quickly and often prevent the need for more intense intervention and out-of-home placement.  To help families, Highfields provides numerous community-based service options.  The options are usually-home-based, individual or family centered and are provided during times convenient to the consumer.  All home-based counseling services for children, youth and families:

  • Occur in the consumer's home
  • Are strength-based and goal-driven
  • Are customized to meet the consumer's needs.

All family services provided by Highfields are nationally accredited.
