What is Mindfulness?
The quality or state of being conscious or aware of something.
A mental state achieved by focusing one’s awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique.
“My staff was appreciative of the ‘hands on’ style of Becky’s presentation. She shares important information about how to provide self care for yourself and your students in small bite sized chunks that actually feel doable and make a difference!” -Jewell Muller-Gornick, School Counselor, Wilkshire Early Childhood Center, Haslett Public Schools
“The Mindfulness Workshop gave my congregation the opportunity to both learn about the benefits of mindfulness practices, and experience them in relevant, easy to apply ways. Becky did an amazing job relating to the group so they felt comfortable, and she adjusted the experience for our needs. Every participant came away with something positive and practical, thanks to what they learned!” -Rev. Betsy Aho, Haslett Community Church, United Church of Christ
“She was an outstanding presenter, and everyone I talked to said it was very helpful, and they will use what they learned, including me. Thank you!” -Haslett Public School teacher
