The Family Preservation Program is designed for children and their family members aged 4-17 who are coping with a mental health disorder. It is a home-based counseling service through which a counselor comes to the family’s home for two-four hours each week, or more if needed. Counselors are available for crisis control 24/7. Family Preservation helps the individual successfully interact within his or her community and prevent the need for hospitalization.
Family Preservation is available in Lenawee County. All families are referred to Highfields through the Lenawee County Community Mental Health Authority.
The phone number for the LCMHA is 517-263-8905.
