Highfields Annual Holiday Toy Drive wrapped up earlier this month, and we are excited to announce that it was a big success. We partnered up with WLNS Lansing and various area Ford Dealerships to bring holiday cheer to families involved in our counseling programs.
“I love the Highfields Toy Drive, it is probably my favorite event of the year,” said Meghan Wright, a Highfields counselor in the Lansing area.
Local community members donated approximately 600 toys for families in need across the Lansing and Jackson areas. Counselors were able to hand pick the toys from the donations and personally deliver them to their families.
“These are families that we’ve built relationships with, these are families that we work with every day – every week, said Meghan. “It’s really exciting to be able to see them celebrate Christmas with their family and they only become stronger because of it.”
Highfields would like to thank WLNS and the local Ford dealerships for allowing us to make the holiday season brighter for the families and children who need it most.
