Stabilization is a 14- to 90-day program for boys whose actions make them at risk of violating their probation or may lead to a longer out-of-home placement. Stabilization helps them correct these destructive behaviors before they are led further into the justice system. Residents in Stabilization also experience a highly structured program with close staff supervision 24/7. Treatment is cognitive-behaviorally based but focused more directly on the specific problems that put the youth at risk in the community. Stabilization has an 86 percent success rate. The average length of stay is 38 days.
