Mark Pardee is a former board member who remains connected to the Highfields community. He served on the Highfields’ Board of Directors beginning in 2000. At the time, Mark had his own IT company, and provided invaluable feedback and expertise to the organization. Mark served six years, took a year off, and came back for another six-year stretch. “I still attended every board meeting during that year off,” said Mark, looking back on his time with Highfields.
Today, Mark supports Highfields in a different way. He is now with a company called NuWave Technology Partners, who is currently assisting with Highfields’ switch over to SharePoint. This massive project will help make Highfields a more efficient and secure organization.
“What sets Highfields apart is the people, the way they run the programs, the passion for what they do and the compassion for those they work with. I have seen this in everyone I have met from Highfields,” said Mark. He enjoys staying involved with Highfields and has been a donor for over 20 years.
Mark often comes to Highfields’ Onondaga campus to help with technology and IT related work. “I’ve been able to meet the residential students on several occasions and it’s clear that the program is helping,” said Mark. “They are always engaged and treat me with respect.”
Highfields is grateful for the continued support and guidance of Mark as he helps ensure Highfields has a bright future.
